Zombie mode returns to Call of Duty: Mobile later this year

The ‘Zombies’ mode in Call of Duty games seems to have become an integral part of the series ever since it was introduced with Call of Duty: World at War. Since then, almost all Call of Duty titles offered a zombie mode. Call of Duty: Mobile was no different. Back in 2019, the developers introduced a zombie mode into the game, which was a completely separate device from the Multiplayer and Battle Royale modes. However, the condition was removed a few weeks after launch and it has not been seen since. But now it looks like the mode is finally returning to the game.

When’s Zombie Mode Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile

A post on Call of Duty: Mobile’s official Reddit page revealed that the mode will be available globally later this year. The developers note that this will be a completely “new zombie experience”, so players could expect a different tag compared to what was originally released. Speaking of which, the Shi No Numa card, which was part of the original zombie mode in Call of Duty: Mobile, will soon be released for the Chinese version of the game.

Players have long called for a re-release of the zombie mode. The statistics for the original zombie state were still visible on the player profile sheet. This gave players hope for a return to fashion as it indicated that Activision had not given up. However, Activision had been pretty quiet on the front for all this while. The closest game came on zombies for the Attack of the Dead mode, which was part of Multiplayer. Now, however, it seems that the players are finally getting their wish fulfilled.

To remember, the original Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Mobile grouped players into teams of up to four. These players then had to survive against waves upon waves of zombies. Although the idea was pretty good, we found the execution a bit overwhelming. You can read more about our ideas for improving the condition here.
