Scarlett Moffatt had given up love before she fell for her current boyfriend, police officer Scott Dobinson, whom she started dating in 2019.
The 31-year-old reality star had known the 36-year-old copper “for years” before embarking on their romance – though their three-year romance has been far from ordinary sailing.
Scarlett has had many ups and downs in connection with her romantic life over the years – with twists and turns with other reality stars who have caused drama on TV, and hard and fast love relationships that crash and burn strongly.
But after going through heart issues for years, Scarlett was ready to give up on finding a successful romance – before reconnecting with Scott.

Speaking on her Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe podcast, the former Gogglebox star said: “Honestly, it sounds really sad, but I never thought I would find true love.
“I do not know if it’s because I just met people who were idiots, or what it was, or if I gave some energy off. But I was just like, ‘No, I do not think love is anything. for me’.
She continued, “I thought I was just going to find love with my family and friends because I did not want to have it in a romantic way.
“But when I met Scott, that changed. He’s such a kind person.”
Scarlett endured a fierce love life before her romance with Scott.
Back in 2013, when Scarlett was desperate to become a reality star, her attempts to woo Welshman Richard Cull, 30, and Irishman Jeremy McConnell, were captured on camera as part of MTV’s short-lived series Beauty School Cop Ours – with all the highlights , lows and tears captured on camera.
She then joined Gogglebox, which propelled her to star status – and as a result, her romantic life came to the fore.
She endured an on-off romance with hairdresser Luke Crodden from 2016 to 2017 – and then quickly moved on to dating fitness model Lee Wilkinson at the end of that year.
However, the couple parted ways in 2018, when Scarlett labeled the muscular hunk as a “cheating pathological liar”.
After her split with Lee, fans of Scarlett were convinced she was having an affair with Ant McParlin when they noticed unusual things like a picture of Ant popping up in a frame next to her bed.
But the proposal for a romance between the couple – who worked together on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – was quickly shut down by representatives, while Scarlett was fired from the show shortly after.
The reality star then confirmed that she had started dating Scott in early 2019 – split a few months later, only to be reconciled later, but then to go apart again in 2021 before being reconciled again.

Scarlett bubbled over her love for Scott as they celebrated their three-year anniversary last week.
She wrote online: “3 years officially together my love @scottdobby. I had honestly thought about giving up on finding a sweet guy.
“I felt like I had had enough luck in my life, and then love would not be a part of my story. It almost felt like I did not deserve it. Until I met you and everything clicked into place.”
