A PlayStation 5 version of Apex Legends may be coming soon

PlayStation 5 users may not have to wait much longer for a native version of Apex Legends, according to file information found on PSN.

According to PlayStationSize, while browsing PSN for updates, a PS5 record with a download size of over 80 GB was found without updating.

This may mean that a PS5 version of the game is imminent, and it also means that you can probably expect the Xbox Series X / S version to arrive around the same time, if not the same day.

The game is already backwards compatible with both PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, but a built-in version would be nice, what about the consoles with fast loading times, higher resolution and better frame rates.

Respawn has previously said that a next-gen version of the shooter was on the way, and EA also confirmed this. Crossplay across gaming platforms is also in the works, so maybe the nice little feature will be launched along with the new gen versions. You never know.

The internet seems to think that season 12 is when the original versions may drop. A launch date for the season has not yet been confirmed, but compared to the current match, season 11 is expected to end around February 8th. So it may be pretty soon.

Once we know for sure when the new gen version will be released, we will be sure to let you know.
