Kody Brown gives son Gabriel an ultimatum

Sister-in-law Kody Brown lays down the law and gives her son Gabriel an ultimatum

There are even more problems on the way Sister Wivis paradise, as things in between Brown codes and his adult son Gabriel Brown, finally get to a head.

Things between Kody and his majority family have been tense since Covid began, but things have undoubtedly been the most heated between Kody and him and his wife Janelle Brown‘s adult sons Gabrielle and Garrison.

In previews of Sunday’s episode, it is revealed that a face-off, almost a year in the making, is finally happening. The clip reveals that Kody declares his regret at not taking a firmer hand, and as he expresses the “patriarchal hand” with his family around Covid restrictions. He adds especially with him and Janelle’s adult sons, who still lived in Janelle’s home, against Kody’s wishes.

The clip goes on to show Kody explaining to an emotionally charged Gabriel that it all came down to Gabriel having to choose between seeing his girlfriend or seeing his father. In the clip, Gabriel responds angrily by asking why he was asked to make that decision. Things certainly seem heated between the once very close, father and son.

All of the current turmoil stems from the several months that led to the big blast surrounding Kody’s Covid restrictions. With the onset of the pandemic, the majority family struggled to come up with safety protocols to govern four separate households, two of which included high-risk children with pre-existing medical conditions.

However, Kody’s rules initially seemed both restrictive and amorphous to the family, as they felt that a set of rules seemed acceptable to one household but not to another. Kody asked him and Janelle’s grown sons, Gabriel and Garrison, to either stop going out socially and for Gabriel to stop seeing her boyfriend, or for the boys to move out. Janelle rejected Kody, explaining that Garrison was only a few short months away from having enough for a payout at her home, and that Gabriel was in school. Gabriel and Garrison openly expressed their displeasure with the rules and their anger at their father Kody, who they believed was only making the rules to prevent the family from seeing each other.

Gabriel wondered that he and his brother were not able to live at home and see their significant other, but that Kody’s fourth wife, Robyn Brown, were allowed to have an unrelated nanny come into their home. Since Robyn’s addition to the family, it has often been felt by fans and family members that Kody favored his outspoken, youngest wife. Tensions over this issue eventually exploded when the pandemic hit, and Kody stopped sharing his time between his other wives’ homes, as was his custom before Covid, and began spending most of his time in Robin’s home. While Robyn admitted that it was the perceived dream of majority marriage, she revealed that it actually affected her and Kody’s relationship negatively.

When Kody was finally pushed for the rationale behind Kody’s use of so much time with Robyn, Kody had explained that Robyn and her home were the only ones following his limitations. Kody then gave the family a printed list of the protocols he and Robyn’s home followed, explaining that in order for the family to gather for the upcoming holidays, all members of the home had to follow them.

Gabriel and Garrison’s mother, Janelle, were shocked by the strict guidelines, which she felt were too restrictive, and both she and her sister-in-law, Christine Brown, admitted that they and their home would not be able to follow them. Last week’s episode revealed that the Brown family split up for Thanksgiving when Christine and her family left to visit one of her adult children, Janelle and her family were left alone at home, and Meri joined Kody and Robyn in their home for Thanksgiving. .

It was certainly far from the old days when the family wanted up to 80 people in total for Thanksgiving dinner and festivities. This sad scene of the family, all different places for Thanksgiving, made both fans and family wonder if the browns are coming for another holiday as a family? Or will this be the breaking point between Kody and his sons and the Brown family as a whole? Judging from the clip for the upcoming episode, it’s definitely in the air for America’s favorite majority family.
