Sebastian Stan’s Sundance Thriller movie on its way to Hulu

Searchlight Pictures has officially acquired the worldwide rights to Legendary Entertainment’s Fresh ahead of the world premiere. The thriller, directed by Mimi Cave and written by Lauren Kahn, will debut at this year’s virtual Sundance Film Festival. Fresh will also be available to stream exclusively in the US on Hulu from March 4 and on Star + and Disney + in all other areas from the spring.

Fresh, which will serve as Cave’s feature film debut, stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal people) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America) as the main characters Noah and Steve. In the synopsis, Noah is described as a young woman “frustrated by dating apps” who takes a chance on the mysterious but charming Steve. After accepting a romantic weekend getaway with the man, Noah comes face to face with problems as she has to survive her boyfriend’s unusual appetite.

Fresh is a wildly allegorical story, ”said Cave. “Still, the film carries strings of truth through which I hope resonate with different audiences. I’m so happy to work with the Searchlight team to bring our film to the world and can not wait for people to see the brilliant performance, Daisy and Sebastian give. ” Along with Edgar-Jones and Stan, the film stars Jojo T. Gibbs (The twenties), Charlotte le bon (Anthropoid), Andrea Bang (Light), and Dayo Okeniyi (The spectacular now).
