Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker says he and the Raptors mascot are ‘cool now’ after free throw fracas

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker says he has buried the battle ax with the Toronto Raptors’ mascot after some controversial moments involving the disguised dinosaur during Tuesday night’s match between the Raptors and Suns.

As People reported, the problem occurred when Booker was mistaken with only six seconds left of the game. After successfully lowering his first free throw, Booker became visibly annoyed by the Raptors’ mascot, who threw himself into the background and asked the referee to move the mascot out of his field of vision so he could focus on his next throw.

However, during a post-match press conference, Booker told reporters he had no hard feelings about the mascot.

“We canned it out. We’re dating now. We’re cool now though,” Booker said (his comments can be seen in the video below, just after the 2:30 mark).

Booker also said he had no regrets.

“I was trying to get him away. It worked,” Booker explained. “I’m happy to shoot it without him down there.”
