Out now: SNK VS. Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash is now trading in eShop

SNK has brought a number of NEOGEO Pocket Color titles to Switch, and the latest arrival is live now on eShop in North America and Europe (hat-tip for Nintendo Everything for the place). SNK VS. Capcom: Card Fighters’ Clash is available now for $ 7.99 / € 7.99 / £ 7.19, bringing together what were two separate editions in the original 1999 release.

As the name makes clear back then this had a Pokémon-style release of two versions, each with some unique decks and maps. In this version you have both versions of the game, fire versions if you keep in mind that it has the English and Japanese build. Each iteration has its own stored data and you can swap and even fight between the two versions (of the same language) in the game.

This card collector / fighter was quite popular among Neo Geo aficionados in his heyday; it would later get a DS version that had a bug that broke and poor localization. Since the DS version was critically panned, it’s quite nice that we all these years later now have the originals assembled and available on the Switch eShop.

Are you tempted to take this up?
