Welcome to the latest issue of WWE News and Rumor Roundup. A report on the change in plans for the latest episode of SmackDown has surfaced.

A RAW Superstars lost title may have reappeared not so long ago. Meanwhile, Dutch Mantell gave his bid for the quality of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ story.

Jim Ross recently admitted that he is not a fan of a current WWE championship. In addition, Bret Hart talked about a different career he had in mind before becoming a professional wrestler.

Let’s take a closer look at these news and rumor stories.

# 5. WWE changed plans for Brock Lesnar and Charlotte Flair at SmackDown

The latest SmackDown show on December 17 saw Charlotte Flair and Shotzi team up to meet duo Toni Storm and Sasha Banks. The latter team won when Storm determined the Queen.

According to Fightful Select, the tag-team match was originally supposed to go down in the December 24 section of the bruise. The Flair and Storm’s Championship Contenders competition was instead scheduled for this week’s show. However, WWE interrupted the singles match and pushed it back to the upcoming Christmas Eve SmackDown episode.

According to the report, higher-ups initially wanted Roman Reigns to kickstart the episode with an in-ring promo, which they later moved to the main event.

In addition, original plans for Brock Lesnar on December 17 included a sit-down interview, but it was not broadcast on television. The Beast Incarnate appeared in the last moments of the show and wiped out The Bloodline (Reigns and The Usos) with several F-5s.

WWE apparently made these changes to SmackDown hours before it aired live. Although Flair’s status for Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1, 2022 has not yet been confirmed, Lesnar will face Reigns for the Universal Championship at the event.
