A man from Epping has had his driver’s license revoked and his car seized after allegedly irregular driving on Sunday.

Mill Park Police said officers responded after a series of calls to triple-0 about the 40-year-old Epping man who was driving on Sherbourne Road around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 19.

It was reported that he was on the wrong side of the road and crashed into the gutters before finding himself in a driveway on Manor House Drive.

Police said the man had allegedly exceeded the alcohol limit four times and traveled from Templestowe after attending a get-together at the Christmas party.

The man was taken to a police station, where, according to police, he presented a breath test of 0.225 as evidence.

His driver’s license was revoked and his car was impounded for 30 days.

The man is expected to be charged with a subpoena related to drink-driving and other traffic violations.

Police said the seizure is part of Operation Roadwise, a nationwide police operation during the risky Christmas season.

Police are targeting impaired driving, speed, distraction and fatigue in high-risk areas in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Operation Roadwise will last until 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 26.
