Barefoot man chases the thief on his way with the beloved LandCruiser – BoilingNews

With bare chest and bare feet, a man from Queensland has jumped into a LandCruiser in motion to prevent a thief from stealing his beloved car.

Terry Dennehy from Caboolture, north of Brisbane, found himself taking on the role of action hero early yesterday morning.

Sir. Dennehy and his wife Dee spotted an uninvited guest walking across their yard, then lost sight of him. Two hours later, they heard their work car start.

They did not know it then, but the uninvited guest had filled their LandCruiser up with chainsaws, shredders, blowers and more from the back shed.

“(I thought) ‘he does not take it, he does not take it, it is my cruiser, no one takes my cruiser off me’,” said Mr Dennehy.

The drama that unfolded thereafter was captured by a security camera.

Mr. Dennehy hurried outside, dropped his thongs and jumped into the vehicle.

As he forced his escape to a dramatic stop, the person in the LandCruiser jumps out and appears to be on the run as Mrs. Dennehy rushes in with a timber board, supported by their faithful cattle dog.

After a brief fight, the man was able to get up and flee. Police say he left behind a black motorcycle.
