Woman speaks out after unprovoked attack on Capitol Hill
Emily Lebowitz says she was pushed from behind in the Eastern Market neighborhood of Capitol Hill on Wednesday. She first spoke to FOX 5 about the experience and what she hopes happens next.
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) – A man has been arrested after an attack in southeastern DC involving a mother and her 5-year-old child.

Emily Lebowitz says she was pushed from behind around 5:30 p.m. on December 6 at block 600 of Pennsylvania Ave SE. Lebowitz fell forward and hit the sidewalk with her teeth.
DC police say they arrested Roman Strickland, 30, of northeastern DC and charged him with aggravated assault.

FOX 5 spoke to Lebowitz’s husband who says his wife left the children’s classroom with their 5-year-old when the attack happened.
